I love seeing my past newborn clients come back for the first birthday session, and Kahli is one of them! His mom had designed his session, and said that she wanted a cake smash session fit for a king! He was a bit on the shy side and wasn’t a fan of getting his pictures taken, until he saw the cake and well, let’s say he was a fan 🙂 His family is one of my favorite clients, as I have done both boys’ newborn and cake smash sessions and they are simply the nicest people ever!

Oh the fun this boho chic cake smash session was! Zoe was a ball of fun energy and as soon as she entered the studio she was ALL smiles, and even gave me a hug! She was so super friendly and I knew right away that her session was going to be a success. Her mom had the vision for the session and I am happy that it all came together! Unicorns and rainbows ,exactly what this little cutie’s mom requested for her baby girl’s first birthday shoot! She had been looking for a Chicago cake smash photographer and had stumbled upon my Instagram page, and I am so happy she did! Aubree was the sweetest baby girl ever, her mom had found the cutest dress to match the scene, so everything was just perfect! Aubree didn’t make much fuss about anything, just gave smiles and ate her cake! It was so much fun watching her do her little thing haha. Happy first birthday, sweet girl!

Handsome Shayne has been coming to see me since he was still in his mama’s belly; I had the honor to photograph his mommy for the maternity session, then I did the newborn, all milestones, to his first birthday for his cake smash session! I’m so grateful too because they came all the way from Lake Forest to see me! Shayne was such sweetheart, a little shy and curious as to what was going on LOL but simply adorable. His mom wanted a simple, no fuss type cake smash, where he would be the focus. This was different than my usual but still so pretty; sometimes less is more!
